Dr. Amara Johnson

Founder & Executive Director

Dr. Amara Johnson is an award-winning educator with over 15 years of experience in teacher development and instructional leadership. Passionate about improving the quality of teaching across Africa, she founded Teachers Excellence Network to create a collaborative space where educators can access resources, mentorship, and professional growth opportunities. She believes strongly in innovation, inclusion, and excellence in the classroom.

Daniel Okoye

Programs & Training Manager

Daniel is a certified education trainer and curriculum specialist with a decade of experience designing teacher workshops, learning materials, and digital learning pathways. He leads the development of the network’s professional training programs and ensures teachers receive practical, impactful support to enhance their classroom practice.

Sarah Mensah

Community Engagement Lead

Sarah is a passionate educator and community-builder who oversees outreach, partnerships, and educator engagement. She works closely with teachers, schools, and stakeholders to foster a supportive network where educators can connect, collaborate, and share best practices.

Communications & Content Strategist

Olivia is a former English teacher turned communications professional. She manages the network’s digital presence, content development, newsletters, and storytelling initiatives. Her mission is to highlight teacher achievements and amplify the voices of educators who make a difference every day.
